General Information – Check-in time is 2:00 (14:00) pm and check out is at 11:00 am. We will happily meet you upon your arrival in Bocas, however you must let us know of your arrival time OR if your itinerary has changed!
Payment Terms – A signed Guest Reservation Contract is due within five days of booking. Final payment must be received before your date of arrival.
Guest Requirements – You must be over the age of 25 in order to rent a home from Paradise Found. The Guest Reservation Contract cannot be transferred to anyone else and subletting the home is prohibited. The guest signing the Guest Reservation Contract will be the responsible party for any intentional or malicious damage to the property for the length of the reservation. Most rental homes have full time residents as neighbors so please be courteous with outside activities, lights, and noise.
Cancellation – If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact us right away. If you cancel, reimbursement is not guaranteed and subject to review on an individual basis.
Number of Guests – Each home has a designated number of renters assigned to it based on available beds, amenities, etc. These limits are listed on our Website and on the Guest Reservation Contract. If more people stay at the house than permitted, it is a violation of the Guest Reservation Contract and is immediate grounds for termination and eviction.
Pets – Pets are allowed only in homes when special permission is granted by the homeowner. If granted, there will be an additional cleaning fee of $50.00 per pet. If a pet is found in a house without prior notice and consent, it is a violation of the Guest Reservation Contract and grounds for immediate termination and eviction. Non-refundable
Left Behind Items – If you leave something behind in a house please contact us right away. If we find the item, we may be able to ship it back to you, with the shipping charges dependent on the size and weight of the package. However, as there is no postal service in Bocas, shipment of items may be costly and take a couple of weeks.
Guest Responsibilities at Departure – Please do your best to leave the home in an orderly condition, keeping up with the dishes and trash removal as you would in your own home. Please be sure to leave keys in designated location.
Smoking – There is no smoking allowed in any of our homes, or any building in Panama. If you smoke outside, please do so at the appropriate distance from the home and dispose of your cigarette materials appropriately. If anyone smokes inside the home, it is a violation of the Guest Reservation Contract and grounds for immediate termination and eviction. You will also be charged a minimum $50.00 cleaning fee.
Supplies – Homeowners will supply bed linens, towels, kitchen towels, bathmats and rugs, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, hand soap, and dish soap.
Trash – Please place all garbage in the cans provided.
Water, Septic, Electricity & Propane – Each property has unique circumstances surrounding utilities which will be outlined during check-in. Some general over-arching rules of thumb while visiting Bocas:
- Water conservation methods should be employed at all times. Even during rainy season, it is best to conserve and save water!
- All public and private sewer/septic systems are sensitive. It is best to NOT FLUSH anything other than human waste. No feminine products or baby wipes should EVER be flushed.
- Paradise Found will ensure that there is propane for the stove before guests check in. If you should run out during your stay, please just let us know!
- Some properties utilize solar energy and will require occasional monitoring.
Housekeeping – The property will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival, however there is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included. Please plan accordingly!
Unforeseen Circumstances – If your rental becomes unavailable due to plumbing, electrical issues, flooding, roof damage or anything that makes it uninhabitable, we will try to move you to a comparable home. If a comparable home is not available, Paradise Found will give you the option of receiving a refund or choosing an upgraded home, subject to availability. If you choose an upgraded home, any increase in rental rate will be your responsibility.
